Suzy Forel

Suzy Forel lives and works in Berlin. She builds her pictures from paper, acrylic, ink and magazine cutouts. Out of that grows a world of her own: stick figures in conical hats, UFOs over concrete blocks, the TV tower, the Brandenburg Gate, clocks that do not show the present.

Time is her real material. In her collages, past and future lie in the same frame, Berlin meets subspace, the documentary meets the invented. She has been exhibiting since 2021, in Berlin, Hamburg, Worms, Zurich and Palermo.

Suzy works beyond the canvas: clothing, rooms and performance. For the musical „Wir sind am Leben“ at Theater des Westens she knitted one-of-a-kind sweaters by hand.
